ICD-11, You've Got To Be Kidding Me Monday, October 31, 2011 You're still trying to attest to MU for 2011 so you can get that first payment. You're working to be ready for HCFA 5010 come January. You know MU stage two is being debated, but is still coming. And of course, there is ICD10 looming, an earthquake being compared to Y2K in the scope of the impact. Then here comes a story saying it is not too soon to begin thinking about ICD11. Makes you want to drink. The good news is that the WHO is not expected to release ICD11 until 2015. Maybe the US will wait 23 years, as we did with ICD10, before we adopt that standard. That would put it at 2038. Hopefully, most of our readers will be sitting on a beach enjoying retirement by then. |
