ICD-10 and Bottled Water Thursday, October 06, 2011 In doing some research, we ran across a good white paper from the good folks at Deloitte about ICD-10 that we have linked here. Their framework for how different organizations will approach the conversion to ICD-10 is helpful. They suggest the level of effort to get to ICD-10 will surpass that of Y2K, though there is no mention of whether we need to stock candles, beef jerky or water in the basement. What is interesting is how the world just keeps breaking down into these similar categories when industry-level change shows up on the horizon.
And the rich get richer, the leaders get further ahead, and the laggards whine about all this work they have to do. |
